In Lieksa, which is a small town located in eastern parts of Finland, a candythief was caught today as he forgot his cellphone to crime scene. The police was able to trace thief’s location and identity with that cellphone. The good people of Lieksa have been suffering for some time because of these raids. A few times before candythief-gang’s operations have caused unnecessary disruption, but today an embarrassing mistake from the thief’s side cost them to get caught.
A 22 years old main suspect, who is a male, forgot his mobile phone to crime scene. According to Finland’s police forces, the first crime wave was conducted in three seperate night in a warehouse belonging to Lieksa’s supermarket. Criminals found that the window in roof was not locked, so they broke in to the warehouse. This metod was tried also in Lieksa’s bus station, where is located a café. Thiefs were not able to unlock the window in the roof. Burglers tried their luck once again, at the same night, in a local grill, where they cracked open bars used to protect the windows. Police’s main suspect broke into the house and stole some candy from there. Their operation was aborted as an alarm bell started to ring. Stolen candy was tossed to nearby river, but some of them were eated during the escape.
Main suspect’s cellphone was left near grill’s window. Police has as a suspects total of six 14 to 17 years old minors and one 22 years old main suspect. ★
